About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to work at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern. Main Responsibilities:
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Providing rapid response to breakdowns when required.
  • Fault finding, trouble shooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
  • To follow up any faults picked up on PPMs.
  • Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
  • To assist specialist subcontractors' requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude.
  • Complete any other associated task requested by the management.
  • Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained

About You

Key Skills and Desires:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
  • PLC qualification.
