We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as an Education Support Administrator at a school in Hertfordshire. As the trusted right-hand person to the headteacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless support to senior leadership teams with diary management, meeting notes, and travel logistics.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced position requiring exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and provide outstanding administrative support to the headteacher and senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Diary Management: Assist the headteacher and senior leadership team with scheduling appointments, managing their calendars, and ensuring they are well-organized.
  2. Gatekeeping: Screen and filter incoming queries, prioritizing those that require attention from the headteacher.
  3. Admin Tasks: Complete paperwork efficiently, maintaining high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
  4. Liaison: Work closely with the headteacher and senior leadership team to address concerns and complete documentation as needed.
  5. Sensitive Information: Handle confidential documents and information related to children and safeguarding or welfare issues.
  6. Customer Service: Answer calls, respond to queries from parents, staff, and pupils, escalating issues when necessary.
  7. Office Support: Order equipment for office staff as required and complete ad-hoc tasks as needed by the school.
About You
  • Experience working in a school environment.
  • A valid DBS on the DBS update service.
