About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Manager to join our team at Town & Country Housing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our leasehold portfolio across Kent, Sussex and Surrey. This role requires regular travel to our head office in Tunbridge Wells.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Developing and implementing effective housing management policies and procedures.
  2. Working closely with the Neighbourhoods team to provide exceptional service to shared owners, leaseholders, and freeholders.
  3. Providing expert advice on leasehold property issues and liaising with external agencies as necessary.
  4. Collaborating with Finance, Asset Investment, Development and Contracts & Compliance teams to ensure compliance with Section 20 notices, sinking funds, ground rents, and service charge budgets.
  5. Contributing to the management of leasehold services, including estate services and contracts with third-party providers.
  6. Providing line management support to colleagues and ensuring accurate data is maintained and reports are produced as required.
  7. Maintaining awareness of best practice in leasehold management and undertaking estate and housing management inspections as needed.
  8. Liaising with the New Business/Development Team on leasehold management issues and assisting with building insurance claims from leaseholders.
  9. Managing budgets and databases related to the role.
  10. Dealing with customer complaints in accordance with TCH's policy.
  11. Fostering resident engagement and involvement in decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in managing leasehold or shared ownership housing.
  • Able to motivate others to deliver excellent services and improve customer experiences.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and business plans.
  • Ability to plan new projects and evaluate risks.
  • Demonstrable ability to build and sustain effective external networks.
