This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school in Bexley as a School Facilities Coordinator, working on a long-term contract basis. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to support the current team with general maintenance for an SEN school.

The Role:

  1. General Maintenance and Repairs: You will be responsible for supporting the premises manager and the premises team with various tasks, including general maintenance and repairs in and around the school facilities.
  2. Event Preparation: You will prepare areas within the school for events by setting up furniture and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made.
  3. Cleaning Duties: As part of your duties, you will be required to clean the school facilities, including mopping floors, cleaning toilets and bathrooms, emptying bins, hoovering the floor area, and wiping down surfaces.
  4. Fire Alarm Tests: You will be responsible for conducting weekly fire alarm tests and recording the results in a spreadsheet.
  5. Health and Safety: A good understanding of health and safety knowledge is essential for this role.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Physical Fitness: You must be physically fit to undertake the demands of this role.
  • Experience: Previous experience in building maintenance is highly desirable, although not essential. Experience working in schools, colleges, or educational settings is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Professional Approach: You must have a dedicated and professional approach to your work and be able to work independently.
  • DBS Check: You must hold an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to undergo one.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
