About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Tesco Pharmacies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacy Managers and colleagues in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of our modern pharmacies, ensuring a smooth and efficient dispensing process.
  • Apply your technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service, offering information and advice on common ailments, symptoms, and products in a confident, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and respond to clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within your area of competence.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with the supervision and development of other members of the pharmacy team through coaching and feedback.

Requirements

  • A pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
