About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Tesco. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of our pharmacies, ensuring that all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  • Dispense prescription medicines, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy are maintained at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and offering information on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
  • Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and deal with clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with the supervision and development of other members of the pharmacy team.
  • Maintain a personal development record with the GPhC and complete corporate and departmental training.

Requirements

  • A pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
