About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Tesco Pharmacies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of our modern pharmacies and providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of our pharmacies, ensuring accurate dispensing of medication and maintaining high standards of customer care.
  • Work closely with our pharmacy team to provide a seamless customer experience, offering information and advice on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
  • Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and respond to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines.
  • Ensure all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed, maintaining a clean and tidy dispensary and consulting rooms.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with the supervision and development of other members of the pharmacy team.

Requirements

  • A pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
