Job Description

Lancaster Medical Practice seeks an experienced Child Health Records Administrator to join our administrative team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for summarizing patient records, managing correspondence, and coordinating patient registrations and amendments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medical History Summary: Develop accurate summaries of patient medical histories, using clinical records as reference.
  • Correspondence Receipt and Dispatch: Receive, review, and dispatch correspondence related to medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to practice policies.
  • Patient Registration and Amendment: Coordinate patient registrations and amendments to their records, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.
  • Record Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to established protocols.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience working in a confidential environment. A solid understanding of Microsoft Office software and EMIS Web clinical system is also required.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: English GCSE (or equivalent) Level C or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Previous experience in General Practice, NHS, or Healthcare setting

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
