Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at BOORTMALT UK. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production equipment to ensure effective and safe operation, minimizing equipment downtime.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, including machinery and utility systems.
  • Supporting the installation of new equipment and ensuring smooth transition into production.
  • Documenting all repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Contributing to a clean and organized work environment.
  • Completing paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Participating in the BOPEX program to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Complying with company procedures, regulations, and policies.
  • Reporting any safety concerns or hazards.
  • Adapting to changing production demands and working flexible hours as needed.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent by experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety requirements.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Experience in machinery repair and maintenance within a food or drink manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Bonus: $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
