We are seeking an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join our engineering team in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. As a Senior Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maximising equipment reliability and performance by carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault Finding and Problem Solving: Conduct thorough investigations to identify the root cause of equipment failures and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating and adjusting machinery, as well as carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components.
  • Equipment Performance: Monitor and improve equipment performance to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including completion of work orders, inventory management and quality control checks.
Requirements
  • Engineering Qualification: Hold an engineering-specific qualification from an apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Maintenance Experience: Possess significant experience working as a maintenance engineer within industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Skills: Demonstrate expertise in electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair techniques.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working within a packaging environment is desirable but not essential.
