Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Specialist to join our team at Shorterm Group in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance team and ensuring that all customer requests are met and contractual obligations are fulfilled.

The role involves coordinating work planning with customers, managing materials and required parts stock levels, and implementing safety systems and production efficiency measures. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching team members to ensure they have the necessary training and skills to perform their job requirements.

With a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering and previous experience in rail vehicle maintenance, you will have a strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings and provide technical solutions to problems will be invaluable in this role.

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a company pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the maintenance team to ensure all customer requests are met and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
