Key Responsibilities- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities through market research, strategic questioning, and industry analysis.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a detailed and up-to-date working pipeline document of all prospective business, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas, ensuring continued service excellence and growth opportunities.
- Performance Management: Report monthly on sales performance and future plans, implementing action plans where necessary to achieve sales targets.
- Industry Knowledge: Passion for the food industry, particularly seafood, with hospitality industry knowledge; seafood experience is a great advantage, though sales experience is not essential.
- Market Understanding: Thorough knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and the food industry.
- Professionalism: High level of professionalism while remaining personable and approachable.
- Collaboration: Collaborative and hands-on approach, driven by excellent customer service skills.
- Analytical Skills: Analytical methodology to seek out and optimize growth opportunities.
- Travel Requirements: Valid driving license and ability to work across the region as required for customer base; must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Performance Bonus: Potential £12k+ per year total bonus available (paid quarterly) for hitting/exceeding growth targets.
- New Business Bonus: Uncapped new business bonus for the first 13 weeks of a customer's trade.
- Benefits Package: 28 days holiday including bank holidays, pension plan, company car/car allowance, mobile phone and laptop, discounts on products, healthcare cash plan, and occupational health services.
