About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Everest People Solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities through market research, strategic questioning, and industry analysis.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a detailed and up-to-date working pipeline document of all prospective business, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas, ensuring continued service excellence and growth opportunities.
  • Performance Management: Report monthly on sales performance and future plans, implementing action plans where necessary to achieve sales targets.
Requirements
  • Industry Knowledge: Passion for the food industry, particularly seafood, with hospitality industry knowledge; seafood experience is a great advantage, though sales experience is not essential.
  • Market Understanding: Thorough knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and the food industry.
  • Professionalism: High level of professionalism while remaining personable and approachable.
  • Collaboration: Collaborative and hands-on approach, driven by excellent customer service skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical methodology to seek out and optimize growth opportunities.
  • Travel Requirements: Valid driving license and ability to work across the region as required for customer base; must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
What You'll Get
  • Performance Bonus: Potential £12k+ per year total bonus available (paid quarterly) for hitting/exceeding growth targets.
  • New Business Bonus: Uncapped new business bonus for the first 13 weeks of a customer's trade.
