Overview:

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operational. This role involves overseeing maintenance activities, managing a team of technicians, and coordinating with other departments to provide a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of hotel equipment and systems.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and hotel standards.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repair work.
  • Emergency Response: Quickly address and resolve any maintenance emergencies to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
  • Energy Management: Monitor and implement energy-saving measures to reduce operational costs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) are a plus.
