About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Woodside Farm, a 5-bedded home in South Ayrshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a positive, respectful, and empowering way with young people to promote good relationships and encourage achievements.
  • Participate in and encourage the participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
  • Write review reports, risk assessments, and contribute to care plans.
  • Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of young people are respected and promoted.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young people.
  • Experience of working with children and families.
  • A driving license (preferred but not essential).
  • The ability to communicate, engage, and form positive relationships with young people, parents, and other professionals.
  • The ability to produce clear and concise written reports and records of good standard and verbally present information and views.
