Accounts Assistant Opportunity

Workwell People Solutions Ltd is a dynamic group of companies providing specialist funding and back-office support to the Recruitment Sector. Following a recent rebranding and period of acquisition and consolidation, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team, reporting to the Financial Manager.

This role is a key part of our long-term development plan, as we continue to grow and expand our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely processing of the Purchase ledger, Sales Ledger, billing, and bank reconciliation for all group companies.

The role will be based at our Wharfbank Mills office in Otley, where you will work closely with our Financial Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily bank and client account reconciliation.
  • Mirror intercompany bank transactions between companies.
  • Process monthly supplier invoices and supplier payment runs.
  • Manage monthly expenses and intercompany recharges.
  • Oversee Sales ledger management, client correspondence, and debt chasing.
  • Prepare and send Sales billing on a monthly and by-monthly basis.
  • Distribute Freshdesk emails within the team.
  • Ensure document layouts are standardized with format and logo.
  • Support the Financial Manager and Finance Director with ad-hoc requirements.
Requirements
  • Part Qualified or qualified AAT or qualified by experience.
  • Well-organized and able to use time wisely and efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and motivation to succeed as part of a growing organization.
  • Dependable and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to problem-solve and identify solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience with Sage Accounts, Sage online, and Xero preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, pivot tables, lookups, and sumif (formulae).
