Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Cuthbert House Approved Premises in Tyne and Wear. As a Weekend Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare meals for residents, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure routine day-to-day cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Manage and control food stock, including receiving and checking stock, and monitoring portion control.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, or damage to the Catering Supervisor.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
  • Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
