East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the region, with a vision of delivering great healthcare from great people. We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team, providing administrative support to our medical staff and patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have 2 years of experience in an administrative role, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and audio-typing skills. They will be responsible for managing clinical dictations, administering tasks, and co-ordinating patient pathways.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical dictations on digital dictation or voice recognition systems and administer as required
  • Co-ordinate patients through their treatment pathway ensuring a smooth process and compliance to National Cancer waiting time standards
  • Undertake other clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of the office
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 5 or above
  • Evidence of further education or professional development
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
