Job Title: Senior Events Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Events Manager is responsible for leading the charity's events programme, developing and delivering a range of events that maximize income, drive supporter engagement, and raise the charity's profile.

  • Lead and manage the annual programme of special events, including flagship dinners and auctions, to deliver outstanding events and build long-term, highly engaged relationships with donors.
  • Manage and nurture key relationships with special event committee chairs and members, ensuring the right level of charity direction and support.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers to align activities with the charity's wider fundraising goals and design and deliver events appropriate to their target audiences and supporters.
  • Oversee the delivery of the annual programme of sports and challenges fundraising events, ensuring first-class supporter care maximizes engagement and fundraising.
  • Lead on exploring new opportunities to grow and refresh the special events and sports programme, and prepare investment cases.
  • Develop plans to promote and market the sports events programme to deliver events to a new and wider audience.
  • Work with a range of suppliers, agencies, third-party event organizers, and venues.
  • Prepare budgets and advise managers on the feasibility of events.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering events that generate income.
  • Managing suppliers and event venues.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and teams, including senior leadership teams and external committees, to deliver events to reach shared goals.
  • Developing events as relationship-building and stewardship tools.
