Part-Time Interim Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Interim Credit Controller to join our team at NET Recruit. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our company's credit control and debt collection activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively pursue debt using phone, email, and written communication, ensuring accurate logging of collection activities, communication, credit limits, and transactions.
- Issue invoices, ensuring accuracy and collaboration with service teams to update billing information and track receipt of each invoice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring clear communication, including payment information and regular statements, and acting as the primary point of contact for payment queries.
- Set up payment plans to promote a good relationship with customers struggling to meet payment deadlines, while ensuring the interests of the business are met, and monitoring plan progress.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate representation of credits, payments, and invoices, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Evaluate new and existing customers' creditworthiness to assess and mitigate financial risk, setting up credit limits, and conducting periodic reviews and risk assessments.
- Prepare detailed reporting for senior management to provide transparency on outstanding debt, customer payment patterns, and credit risk, supporting commercial decision-making.
- Ensure all activities meet GDPR and other financial regulations and laws, striving to follow best practices and maintaining knowledge of legal obligations.
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar role, with a strong understanding of credit control and debt recovery processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build professional relationships.
- Strong IT knowledge and organizational abilities.
- Immediate availability to start working and willingness to take a part-time 3-6 month contract position.
- A competitive FTE salary up to £35,000 (pro-rata for 3 days), depending on experience.
