Position: Special Educational Needs Teacher

About the Role:
A well-regarded Special Needs School is looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teacher to join their team. This role is essential for supporting a mixed class of young learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The class comprises eight students, each carefully grouped according to their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational experiences to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with a committed team of two full-time Teaching Assistants and a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
- Implement a comprehensive induction and support plan to ensure a smooth transition for the new teacher.
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) training in specialized strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, Attention Autism, Makaton, and Intensive Interaction.

Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

- Recent experience in a specialist SEN environment or primary education within the UK.
- A solid understanding of P levels and the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
- A patient and engaging approach to classroom management.
