Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Educational Psychology Specialist to join our team at a fantastic Primary School in Richmond. As a Psychology Graduate, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting, working with children and supporting their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in managing pupil behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, leading small group interventions and providing targeted support to meet their individual needs
  • Focus on children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour

Requirements:

  • A Psychology Graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree from a UK Top 20 University
  • Experience working with children with SEND and SEMH (desirable but not essential)
  • A friendly, supportive, and resilient individual with a passion for working with children
  • Aspirations to commit to a career in Educational Psychology
