Marsh Common, United Kingdom Axcis Education Full time

Axcis Education is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Support Assistant specializing in Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a reputable educational institution.

This position involves working closely with students aged 7 to 19 who present with a range of needs, including autism, communication challenges, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic and enthusiastic approach, with a passion for engaging in the educational environment. The working hours are set from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.66.

This role is anticipated to be a long-term contract for the right individual, potentially extending through the academic year.

Our mission is to empower students to enhance their self-esteem, life skills, and independence while also focusing on their academic progress. The school adopts a teaching approach that prioritizes ability over age, allowing students to collaborate with peers who share similar skill levels.

Due to the school's location, a valid driving license is essential for this role.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and written English skills
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Axcis Education offers competitive remuneration, an attractive referral scheme (rewarding £150 for referring friends or family), and valuable SEND resources available through our giveaways.

Please note that this position is initially a temporary contract, with the potential for permanent placement in the future.
