Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Do you have the expertise and dedication to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We are looking for a skilled and compassionate ASD Teacher to join our team in South East London’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools.
Position: ASD Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with ASD.
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
* Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that fosters independence and self-confidence.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to address the diverse learning styles of students.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to provide comprehensive support.
* Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and strategies for home support.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in ASD education.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school setting.
* Strong understanding of ASD and effective teaching strategies for students with special educational needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
