Job Title: Homelessness Triage

Adecco UK Limited is seeking a skilled Homelessness Triage professional to join our team. As a Homelessness Triage Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing effective triage and duty services to individuals in housing need or threatened with homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine eligibility and homelessness, making initial enquiries into reason to believe client is eligible and homeless.
  • Provide comprehensive advice on a full range of options to solve housing problems, including tenancy rights, housing, and welfare benefits.
  • Filter and contact online housing options forms, conducting preliminary enquiries and providing advice to prevent homelessness.
  • Capture and process data on the Council's housing system (NEC) to accurately reflect the application process and stage of application.
  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive case notes and records are kept of contact and advice given.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended).
  • Knowledge of security of tenure and welfare benefits.
  • Experience of dealing with customers in person, telephone, and email.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a workload, prioritizing urgent cases.
  • Good communication skills, both written and orally.
