Job Title: Band 7 Safeguarding Children Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Transformation Unit as a highly experienced safeguarding professional. The role will provide expert advice and support to teams across Birmingham and Solihull, ensuring that children and young people are at the centre of care.

The post holder will work in partnership with other health colleagues, the police, and social workers to develop skills and competence as a Children's Safeguarding Practitioner. They will participate in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) risk assessment and contribute to case management of children at risk of harm.

The salary for this role is approximately £54,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing complex caseloads involving child protection issues, including mental health or acute provider hospital experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and facilitating training packages within the organisation and as needed in partnership with other agencies.
  • Working with key professionals and agencies to contribute to the development and delivery of services designed to protect children and young people from harm.
  • Handling sensitive information relating to child safeguarding and communicating with others.

Required qualifications include current NMC registration, evidence of recent post-basic training, and ongoing personal development. Teaching qualifications or equivalent are also essential.
