Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is a leading provider of recruitment services for the childcare sector. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our East Safeguarding & Children In Care Team in Birmingham.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and professional support in complex situations, applying knowledge of practice, theory, and legislation to enhance practice and introduce innovation. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to model risk assessment and management in various situations.

We offer a competitive salary up to £49,624 per annum, depending on experience, plus opportunities for career development and continual professional growth.

About the Role:
  • Leadership and Support: Provide leadership and professional support in complex situations, working closely with team members to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Practice Enhancement: Apply knowledge of practice, theory, and legislation to enhance practice and introduce innovation, contributing to the development of best practices within the organization.
  • Risk Management: Model risk assessment and management in various situations, ensuring that all risks are identified and mitigated to minimize harm to children and families.
  • Safeguarding: Provide professional leadership on safeguarding issues, working closely with colleagues to ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed.
  • Performance Management: Support team members’ performance management and development, ensuring that all staff are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Complaints and Assessments: Manage complaints and verify assessments, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly and fairly.
  • Organizational Change: Contribute to organisational change and development, working closely with colleagues to implement new initiatives and strategies.
  • Data Quality: Ensure data quality compliance, maintaining accurate records and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Budget Management: Manage delegated budgets and resources, ensuring that all financial resources are used effectively to achieve organizational goals.
