**University College Birmingham Job Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our Student Services and Wellbeing directorate. This is a fixed-term position, running until September 2025.

As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all UCB students aged 16+. You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Head of FE Pastoral Support to address concerns effectively and proactively.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £30,505 - £33,882 per annum, based on the location in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience in safeguarding and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in addressing concerns and investigating incidents
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure effective safeguarding practices
