Specialist Teacher for Children with Learning Difficulties

We are seeking an exceptional Specialist SEN Teacher to join our team at the Wayman Learning Trust in Haringey, London. As a Specialist SEN Teacher, you will work with children who have specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia.
About the Role:Job Type: Fulltime Permanent
Location: Haringey, London
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student, promoting academic progress and personal confidence.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that align teaching strategies with student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the school leadership team.
- Provide comprehensive and consistent support to students, working closely with teaching assistants and support staff.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest strategies and interventions for supporting children with learning difficulties.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with specific learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia.
- In-depth knowledge of dyslexia and other learning difficulties, including appropriate teaching strategies and interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Experience working with small groups or in 1:1 settings to provide tailored support.
- A DBS check is required.
Salary and Benefits:
