We are seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Specialist to support our children and young people in North Devon. This is an excellent opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families, utilizing your expertise to drive good practice and model robust social work methods.

This role is part of the Children and Families teams, responsible for managing cases involving child-in-need and child protection, as well as legal proceedings and looked after children. As a specialist, you will work closely with colleagues and partners to provide exceptional support to families.

The successful candidate will work to a hybrid model, supporting duty and seeing children in a timely manner while working directly with families. A regular commitment to being in Devon every other week is required.

Salary: £88,960 per year (assuming 40 hours worked per week), with an agreed weekly agency accommodation/commuter travel allowance of up to £150 per week for those living 50 miles or more from their work base.

  • Our team works closely with Specialist Practitioners who conduct assessments such as Reg 24's, VA's, Pre-birth, and Parenting Assessments, enabling practitioners to focus on day-to-day interventions.
