About the Role

The East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner. This exciting opportunity will allow you to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.

Main Responsibilities

As an Educational Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering schools' overarching approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering a wide range of interventions, projects, and system changes with the aim of whole school and whole community approaches to supporting young people's mental health.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a postgraduate diploma in Education Mental Health Practitioner or IAPT Child Wellbeing Practitioner. You will also need to have experience of working in schools and delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families. Additionally, you will need to have experience of assessing children and young people who present with mild to moderate mental health problems and to rapidly access more specialist services.
