About the Role

The East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As an Educational Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include developing and delivering a wide range of interventions, projects, and system changes with the aim of whole school and whole community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. You will be part of a comprehensive stepped care model of delivery by CAMHS ELFT services in the county and be an integral part of a thriving and substantive specialist multi-disciplinary service offer.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate diploma in Education Mental Health Practitioner or IAPT Child Wellbeing Practitioner and experience of working in schools. They will also have experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families and assessing children and young people who present with mild to moderate mental health problems.
