We are seeking a seasoned Clinical Psychologist to assume a leadership role in our South Bedfordshire Adult Community Mental Health Services network.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior clinical and strategic input into two local services, ensuring the provision of high-quality comprehensive specialist psychological services to service users. This involves working closely with team managers and senior clinicians in leadership roles, as well as being part of a multi-disciplinary network of mental health professionals.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the systematic provision of high-quality comprehensive specialist psychological services, providing supervision and leadership to a dedicated group of psychologists and therapists, and managing demand and flow through services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with this client group, familiarity with NHS services, and a track record of developing and supporting multidisciplinary approaches and pathways. They should also possess highly developed clinical skills in assessment and intervention for people presenting in secondary care mental health services.

Requirements
  • A post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, including substantial post-qualification experience within speciality
  • Experience of working with teams and team leads to provide specialist psychological consultation, advice, and support
Working Environment

This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as the candidate will be expected to travel to locations around South Bedfordshire and Luton.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
