Academics Ltd is seeking a Youth Guidance Officer to join our team. As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing emotional support and guidance to students in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting. This role requires a confident and approachable individual who can create a safe and supportive learning environment for children aged 7-11 years.

About the Position

This is a full-time role available immediately with a competitive daily rate of £83.33 - £90 (dependent on experience). The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with students in a mentor style capacity and hold a valid enhanced DBS check. A safeguarding children certificate is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Mental Health (desirable)
  • Previous experience working with students in a mentor style capacity
  • A valid enhanced DBS check
  • A safeguarding children certificate
