Specialist Radiologist Cross Sectional Imaging Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Radiologist to join our team at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre (PSSC). As a leading provider of cross-sectional imaging services, we offer a unique opportunity for a radiologist to develop their expertise in cancer imaging and contribute to our translational research programs.
Main Responsibilities- Supervise and report on investigations performed using CT and MRI, with a focus on cross-sectional imaging and cancer diagnosis.
- Develop and lead research projects in the Centre, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance our understanding of cancer imaging.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI and CT scans, and document findings in comprehensive reports.
- Communicate examination results and diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, and families, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Person SpecificationWe are seeking a radiologist with a strong background in oncology and cross-sectional imaging, with a minimum of 12 years' experience since obtaining a primary medical qualification. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading on patient safety issues and achieving change in practice, with evidence of engagement with clinical governance and appraisal.
The successful candidate will be a Full GMC registrant with a Licence to Practice, holding FRCR Membership or an equivalent qualification. They will be up-to-date and fit to practice safely, with awareness of their own training needs.
