About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and companionship to people affected by dementia, enabling them to engage in a fun and rewarding activity.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and engaging with people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and included in the singing session.
- Providing encouragement and support to participants, helping them to participate in the singing activity.
- Assisting the session facilitator with the activities, either online or in person.
- Displaying compassion and empathy when interacting with people with dementia.
You'll be great for the role if:
- You have an interest in developing meaningful relationships and making a real difference in the lives of others.
- You are passionate about music and its therapeutic benefits for people with dementia.
- You are a good communicator and can work effectively as part of a team.
- You are able to navigate online platforms and use Zoom with confidence.
