Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer

About the Role
We're looking for compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Singing for the Brain Support Volunteers. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in creating a supportive environment for people affected by dementia to enjoy music and socialize.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with people with dementia, helping them feel at ease and included.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants during music sessions, either online or in-person.
- Work collaboratively with the session facilitator to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
- Help create a sense of community and belonging among participants.
You'll be great for the role if:
- You have a genuine interest in developing meaningful relationships and making a positive impact.
- You're passionate about enabling people with dementia to express themselves through music.
- You're a good listener and can display empathy and compassion.
- You're comfortable using technology, such as Zoom, to facilitate online sessions.

This group currently meets on Thursdays. We're looking for regular volunteers for our groups in Abergavenny and Monmouth.
