About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic volunteer to support our Singing for the Brain sessions, providing a welcoming environment for people affected by dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and engaging with people with dementia, helping them feel at ease.
  • Providing encouragement and support to participants during the singing sessions.
  • Assisting the session facilitator with activities, either online or in person.

Requirements:

  • Ability to develop meaningful relationships and make a positive impact.
  • Desire to enable people with dementia to express themselves through music.
  • Fun and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Capacity to listen and display compassion.
  • For virtual sessions, ability to navigate online platforms and use Zoom confidently.

Minimum Age 16

This group currently meets on Thursdays. We are looking for regular volunteers for our groups in Abergavenny and Monmouth.
