Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our People Operations team at News UK as an HR Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expertise on employment screening, contracts of employment, and right to work checks.

About the Role

As an HR Administrator, you will be part of a team that delivers expertise on HR administration, compliance, and HR data to our customers across the News UK business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and issue offer letters, contracts of employment, and starter packs for all new starters at News UK.
  • Conduct employment screening checks/right to work checks.
  • Provide proactive advice and guidance to our stakeholders on contractual terms during the offer and onboarding process.
  • Ensure new starter details are accurately recorded in our HR Information System.
  • Maintain all employment contract templates ensuring that any changes are accurately and consistently updated.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Company's employment screening processes.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Company's right to work processes.
  • Foster professional and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Act as an expert advisor in the subject areas within your team's remit and within People Operations.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of any changes to employment contract templates.
  • Provide advice and assistance to our employees.
  • Provide input into continuous improvement of all HR processes and protocols ensuring that established processes are followed.
