About the Role:

A Behaviour Mentor is required to work with a learner in a school based in Waltham Forest. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working with children and challenging behaviour management, or a top graduate seeking experience within a school setting.

The successful candidate will be confident, resilient, and have excellent communication skills. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work on a 1:1 basis with the learner, providing support and guidance to help them manage their behaviour and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to the learner, helping them to develop strategies for managing their behaviour
  • Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management
  • Help the learner to set and work towards goals, promoting positive attitudes and behaviours

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with learners, teachers, and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques
