Housing Services Coordinator

About the Role
Fife Council is seeking a skilled Housing Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Housing Services Factoring Team, you will be responsible for arranging repairs and maintenance in mixed tenure blocks for the communal areas and consulting with owners on the works.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange repairs and maintenance in mixed tenure blocks for the communal areas
- Consult with owners on the works
- Carry out annual block surveys to determine repairs and maintenance
- React to emergency and routine repairs when reported
- Work with partner services to raise accurate works orders to maximise first time fix and minimise the need for orders to be varied
- Respond quickly to emergency and urgent maintenance queries to safeguard customers and the property
- Ensure high quality private sector housing services through the implementation of legislative standards, Council policies, processes, and self-developed solutions
- Deliver high quality customer care and advice, supporting private owners, landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can work effectively in a team environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with minimum supervision. You will also have a strong understanding of housing policy and practices, housing advice, and housing standards.
Requirements
- SCQF level 5 or equivalent
- Ability to deliver housing services through field-based working Fife wide
- Experience of assessing and appraising complex information, problems, or situations
- Negotiation skills
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of housing policy and practices, housing advice, and housing standards
- Customer care skills and experience of assertive case management
- Experience of partnership working in Council / private sector housing improvement
- Budget management and communication and organisational skills
- Able to provide a regular and effective service
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to prioritise workloads, analyse and resolve problems
- Ability to work alone to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to communicate at all levels, both verbal and written
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to travel throughout Fife
- The ability to deliver quality customer service and work well under pressure
