Production Operator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Operator to join our team at Sanderson Design Group plc.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating production equipment to ensure high-quality products are produced on time. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Operate departmental production equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Control Specs.
- Set up production machines, monitor product quality, and check against customer standards.
- Adhere to all production equipment and departmental risk assessments.
- Report orders via Process Cards and computerised systems.
- Ensure good quality products are passed on to the next department, and any quality issues are identified to management promptly.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include:
- Movement of fabric via K9s, palletised trucks or FLTs.
- Manual handling of fabric or product.
- Ensuring good standards of cleanliness and housekeeping for production machines and departments.
- Complying with all health and safety regulations and policies.
We measure success by:
- A first-class product being produced on time, in line with planning requirements.
- The production equipment and department having a high standard of housekeeping and production equipment cleanliness.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience within a manufacturing environment (desired).
- Good interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent vision for colour product.
