Job Description

First Subsea, a leading provider of bespoke products and services for the offshore renewables industry, is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving production throughout the factory, supporting other departments, and developing strategies to enhance efficiencies and profits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to operating areas and assist in planning, design, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Develop and facilitate training for operational departments, including operating procedures, safety protocols, and new processes.
  • Support planning and directing production scheduling and maintenance activities, ensuring activities are within the company budget structure.
  • Responsible for the specification and purchasing of capital equipment and operational equipment for maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead development and design of equipment and processes to support safety, environmental compliance, customer needs, and efficient manufacturing.
Requirements
  • HNC in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
  • Previous experience within a similar position, preferably in the PU industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks (3D CAD) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to present data effectively, and strong communication skills.
