The role of the Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner is to work as part of a dedicated AHP Therapy team, providing high-quality patient care and support to qualified AHP staff. The successful candidate will be allocated a delegated patient caseload and will be expected to work independently, assessing patient care needs and delivering care without supervision.

The practitioner will also support qualified AHP staff by taking an active clinical role within the specialist clinical area, guided by evidence-based protocols. To ensure efficient service delivery, the practitioner will delegate tasks to others in the team and maximize the use of technology and new ways of working.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
