Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Community Respiratory Team in Edinburgh.
About the Role: As a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner, you will be integral to our team, providing supported self-management to patients with severe COPD. You will work closely with primary and secondary care colleagues, including a Respiratory Consultant, GPs, Nurses, Psychologists, Pharmacists, and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supported self-management to patients with severe COPD
- Work closely with primary and secondary care colleagues to deliver an admission prevention service
- Assess and provide equipment to patients as needed
- Support patients in managing breathlessness and anxiety
- Collaborate with third sector organisations to provide comprehensive care
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a PVG Scheme membership/record and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
