Position Overview

The Devil's Kitchen is a pioneering vegan and allergen-free food manufacturing enterprise, focusing on the creation of plant-based burgers, balls, and sausages. Our products serve a diverse clientele, including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, attractions, and national retailers. We are part of the Green Britain Group, which includes Ecotricity and Forest Green Rovers Football Club.

As a Senior Production Operative, you will report directly to the Production Manager and play a crucial role on the production line or within a designated production area. Your responsibilities will include leading small teams in various tasks such as preparation, mixing, forming, packing, metal detection, and dispatch of our frozen food offerings.

While prior experience in food production or operation of industrial equipment is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery efficiently
  • Physically lift and transport ingredients, finished goods, or equipment
  • Measure ingredients or package frozen products into outer cases
  • Adhere to stringent food quality, safety, and health standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of production equipment and surrounding areas
  • Document control measurements and keep accurate production records
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to facilitate training and development of team members
  • Work in a temperature-controlled environment, including brief periods in a frozen setting

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday, 08:00 to 15:30.

Candidate Profile

  • Resourceful and adaptable to changing tasks as production demands
  • Capable of performing the physical tasks required for the role
  • Willingness to undergo training as necessary
  • Previous experience or transferable skills in food production equipment operation is a plus
