Senior Cybersecurity Operations Centre Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Operations Centre Analyst to join our Information Security team at Allen & Overy. As a key member of our security operations team, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization's assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and respond to all alerts and incidents raised in our monitoring platform, ensuring timely and effective mitigation of potential security threats.
- Manage our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, developing and maintaining rule bases and use cases to optimize security monitoring and incident response.
- Collaborate with the security operations team to streamline workflows, improve response times, and enhance overall security posture.
- Investigate security system alerts, including cloud, brand surveillance, and MSSP alerts, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Support investigations and audits as required, working closely with the InfoSec Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop new detection possibilities and lead on security operations initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our security practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping to develop their skills and expertise in cybersecurity operations.
- Participate in security incident response exercises, testing and improving our security systems and processes to ensure we are always prepared to respond to emerging threats.
- Contribute to the development of incident response playbooks and security standards and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Recent experience in a similar role, with a strong background in security operations and a good understanding of security technologies, including EDR, DLP, SIEM, and log management.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems, as well as experience with the Microsoft security stack.
- Ability to prioritize and balance user requests with good security practices, ensuring that security measures are implemented in a way that minimizes disruption to business operations.
- High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical subjects in a clear and logical way.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Passion for security and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies.
