Road Infrastructure Technician

About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Road Infrastructure Technician to join our team at Griffiths in Bangor, Gwynedd.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have experience in civil engineering works, operating heavy machinery, and working on highways. They will also have a full understanding of utility drawings and safety protocols.
Main Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and routine work for highway apparatus and assets
- Construction, including widening and repairing roads, cycleways, and footways
- Installation and repair of kerbs, edgings, block, and flagged paving
- Repairing potholes and cracks in surfacing
- Maintaining roadside verges
- Excavating and reinstating trenches for duct and drainage installation
- Working on inspection chambers, road gullies, drainage, and ducted systems
Requirements
- Previous experience in civil engineering works, operating heavy machinery, and working on highways
- Full understanding of utility drawings and safety protocols
- HGV Class 2 driver's license and NPORS or City and Guilds qualifications in gritter and snowplough for winter maintenance operations
- Willingness to work out of normal hours as part of a rota system
- CSCS card
