Reigate, Surrey, United Kingdom WeDo Full time
Job Summary
WeDo is seeking a highly skilled QA Software Engineer to join their 55+ strong QA Community of Practice. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product owners to ensure the quality of their core Cloud SaaS product through all test phases.

About the Role
As a QA Software Engineer, you will drive the 'automation-first' approach by reducing reliance on manual testing. You will focus on tackling complex test cases and mitigating risks. Your expertise in UI testing using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks is essential. Additionally, you should have strong analytical skills, particularly in writing detailed test plans and cases that provide meaningful context rather than surface-level insights.

- Focus on tackling complex test cases and mitigating risks
- Encourage developers to carry out both functional and non-functional testing
- Perform high-level exploratory testing against acceptance criteria, ensuring features are introduced to a high standard

Requirements
- Strong QA mindset considering all types of testing
- Confidence in exploratory testing
- Expertise in UI testing using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- A focus on clean code and creating extensible frameworks—no hard coding
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in writing detailed test plans and cases that provide meaningful context rather than surface-level insights
- Ability to perform high-level exploratory testing against acceptance criteria, ensuring features are introduced to a high standard

Benefits
- £60,000 - £70,000 salary range
- 10% bonus
- ~14% pension
- ~ Private health insurance
- ~ Critical illness cover

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-career QA Engineer who values a balance of manual and exploratory testing while pushing towards automation. If you have the required skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.
