Job Title: Assistant Service Delivery Manager

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service for bus public transport in your designated area, under the direction of your Service Delivery Manager (SDM).

This will require you to assess, monitor and manage bus transport services, which will include staff recruitment, training and development; fleet and facilities presentation as well as materials cost control and utilisation to meet the needs of the business.

You will also assist the SDM to plan, organise and deliver business change to transport services in your area, with safety, customer service and commerciality as key drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train and develop staff to meet business needs
  • Manage fleet and facilities to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Control and utilise materials to meet business objectives
  • Assist in planning and delivering business change to transport services
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Experience of working in a trade unionised environment
  • Experience in a first line supervisory or management role
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience of successfully building relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders
  • Full current driving licence
