Job Summary

Speedy is a leading provider of hire services, equipment, and support solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced IT Application Support Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support for our IT infrastructure, Microsoft cloud estate, and supporting services.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the development and delivery of IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Manage a team of experienced Infrastructure Operations Engineers to provide excellent support to the Speedy group in all aspects of IT infrastructure Operations.
Support the design of best-in-breed application solutions for Speedy.
Responsible for the delivery of best-in-breed application for Speedy.
Manage and shape the Application Support Team, helping to define the support model and the operational processes of any new services developed.
Ensure the availability and performance of the on-premise and cloud application estate and supporting services meets the business needs while delivering within financial budgets.
Proactively propose, define, and manage plans to update and upgrade application software and services across the estate on a regular basis.
Effectively manage the Application Support to maximize the potential of individuals within the function.
Support the development and delivery of on-premise and cloud application solutions including standards, policies, and processes to ensure appropriate governance structures are in place to regulate compliance.
Manage the provision and maintenance of Speedy's on-premise and cloud application estate and supporting services ensuring the availability, information security, and capability of those systems meet the business needs.
Support the IT Senior Leadership team in developing a technical vision for all applications by engaging with business units to develop strategic technical blueprints and reference architectures.
Support the development, implementation, and transition into production of the IT Velocity Vision and Strategy in relation to on-premise and cloud applications.
Support the development of the on-premise and cloud application strategy across the enterprise; working with Architects and other IT Technical Delivery Teams to ensure applications, network security, and telephony applications are consistently provided across the whole of Speedy.
Research and recommend new technologies for all colleagues across Speedy.
Develop and revise statements of work with accurate cost and time estimates aligned to the overall delivery plan.
Excellent organizational skills to successfully coordinate the efforts of an IT department.
The ability to think strategically, anticipate future developments, and provide technical vision.
Support the development of the product roadmap and technology strategy.
Ensure the technology is robust and scalable for future growth.
